North Georgia QRP Club NOGAQRP@groups.io

We are a group of amateur radio (ham) enthusiasts who enjoy building and operating small low powered radio equipment. We meet the second Saturday of each month in Atlanta, GA.

This "list" is for NoGA members who live in the Atlanta, North GA, and nearby areas. All our mail from this list is "readable" by everyone by clicking on the MESSAGES button. Bookmark this page and check it as often as you wish.

WE DO NOT ALLOW non-members of this mailing list to post messages to it. This is stop spammers.

Check out our website - www.nogaqrp.org

Also, a good source of QRP info is the QRP Amateur Radio Club International - www.qrparci.org

The North Georgia QRP Club is a NO dues, NO Rules, No Bylaws, NO officers type of club - we just want to have FUN! Although Morse Code (CW) is no longer required to obtain an amateur radio license, we encourage everyone to learn this wonderful mode. QRP for CW is defined as 5 watts. Also, CW transceivers (called "rigs") are easier to build so they make a great first project. We also support voice (mostly Single Side Band) QRP which is defined as 10 watts PEP output.

If you are within 100 miles of Atlanta, come join us at a meeting. If you are from outside the area, but plan to be coming through town, send an email to NOGAQRP+owner@groups.io and let us know. We'd like a reason to get together for coffee or lunch and meet you.
